Words have power! This fun workshop series is designed to engage and inspire older adults to write poetry by
giving voice to their thoughts, emotions and experiences and using the genre as a vehicle of change. Participants
will be led through prompts that trigger the senses, poetic forms, devices, and read and explore the work of other
poets. This eight-week experience will culminate in a Poetry Café where participants share their poetry during a
community showcase.
