Join the Library for a community listening session at our (to-be-constructed) new Washington Branch, located at 3025 W. Alexis Road, Toledo, otherwise known as the old Food Town.
Join the Library for a community listening session at our (to-be-constructed) new Washington Branch, located at 3025 W. Alexis Road, otherwise known as the old Food Town grocery store. Event organizers will gather feedback from neighborhood residents regarding ambiance and programming in the new branch so that this location truly reflects the community that will come to use it. Construction timelines will also be reviewed for resident awareness.
The listening session itself will take place inside the old Food Town, again, at 3025 W. Alexis Road. Ample signage and staff will help attendees navigate to the proper gathering place. Light refreshments will also be provided. Please come with your thoughts and ideas on how to make this new branch a great place for all! If you are unable to attend this in-person session, additional feedback opportunities will be available to the community.
As a reminder, the current Washington Branch Library, located on Harvest Lane, will need to be vacated to make room for the new Washington Local Schools Middle School facility. With the purchase of 3025 W. Alexis Road, the Library will bring the Washington Township and greater Toledo community a highly visible, bigger, and more modern branch for everyone to enjoy.
