This 8-week series is open to individuals with hypertension that have not experienced a recent cardiac event. Attendees receive a free blood pressure cuff and YMCA membership while in the program.

Includes weekly one-hour meetings to discuss risk factors, strategies and lifestyle changes that may prevent an episode; aspects of nutrition, physical activity, and self-care; and blood pressure check at each session. Thursdays at 2pm, September 5,12,19,26, and October 3,10,17,24.
