Join us to create unique papers and greeting cards on a gelatin plate.
Gelatin Mono-Printing is a fun and interesting printmaking technique using a gelatin printing "plate." Design are created by laying found objects onto the gelatin plate. It is called mono-printing because you can make only one print at a time. No two printsĀ are exactly alike due to the placement of the found objects and the application of the ink. Each time a print is pulled it is a unique work of art. This class will create papers and greeting cards.
This can be a slightly messy program, so bring a smock or apron. It takes time for the prints to dry; plan to stop back in a day or so to pick up your masterpieces. Registration is required as space is limited.
