The ideological divide in the United States on the subject of climate change has impeded progress in curbing greenhouse emissions. But extreme weather events at both ends of the thermometer have focused attention on the consequences of inaction. What role will the United States play in future negotiations on climate?
Presented by Dr. Andy Jorgensen, Associate Professor Emeritus – Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Toledo.

Dr. Jorgensen earned a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been a faculty member at the University of Toledo since 1988. His recent work has focused on the communication of environmental problems, especially climate change. His efforts have been supported by the National Science Foundation and NASA. He is a Fellow of the American Chemical Society and has been selected as an Outstanding Teacher at UT and has received UT's Outreach and Engagement Excellent Award.
