What does the eviction moratorium and new tenant protections mean for you? After a presentation, have your questions answered by an Attorney. Interpretation in Arabic and Spanish is provided.

The COVID-19 pandemic is making it difficult for people to pay rent on time. The government's issuance of an eviction moratorium, in addition to local efforts by Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE), the City of Toledo, and Toledo Municipal Court, affords new protections for tenants. What steps can you take to avail of these protections?

Welcome TLC, the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, and ABLE are proud to host a virtual event titled "Ask the Attorney on Housing" to answer your questions about what those protections mean to you. Hear from Reem Subei, Welcome TLC Steering Committee Member and Attorney at ABLE; and Alicia Kingston, Staff Attorney with Legal Aid of Western Ohio, during a 30 minute presentation followed by a question and answer session.

You are encouraged to submit questions using the Zoom chat feature, or in advance to: mely.douglas@toledolibrary.org. Arabic and Spanish interpreted channels is available during the virtual event.
