AtriumToledo Lucas County Public Library welcomes all to our concert series, Live at the Library, featuring musical talent as they tour the country. This month, we welcome singer Pat Byrne.
Irish singer-songwriter Pat Byrne brings a captivating blend of introspective lyricism and raw emotion, inspired by his journey from Ireland to Austin, Texas. Byrne has seamlessly melded the storytelling traditions of two musical cultures, earning acclaim on major stages like the 30A Festival, SXSW, Kerrville Folk Festival, and AmericanaFest.
His 2021 album "Into The Light" was named a Top 10 Album of the Year by the Austin American-Statesman and earned him the prestigious Black Fret Member’s Choice grant. Byrne’s 2022 release, "Feels Like Living" showcases his cinematic lyrics and stirring melodies, capturing the resilience of a working musician.
Described as a fusion of Bob Dylan’s poetic depth, Bruce Springsteen’s gritty storytelling, and Woody Guthrie’s spirit of activism, Pat Byrne delivers music that resonates with universal humanity. Don’t miss this chance to experience an artist Folk Alley calls “transcendent poetry with real-world rock-n-roll storytelling.”
