Co-hosts Nicole Jackson and Steve Ammidown will be joined by author, provost of Black Romance University and friend of the show Nicole Falls to talk about discovering Black romance in the library, as well as what it’s like growing up as a Black romance reader in the Midwest.
About the Hosts
Steve Ammidown is an archivist by training, and a historian of the romance genre almost by accident. He runs romancehistory.com and can be found on Instagram as Romance Historian and BlueSky as (mostly) himself.
Dr. Nicole Jackson has a PhD in African American and African Diaspora history. She’s a professor by day who writes erotica, erotic romance, women’s fiction, and historical fiction in her spare time. She writes racially diverse and often queer stories that show love and the world in all its beauty and colors.
