Barbara L. McQuade is a professor at the University of Michigan Law School, where she teaches criminal law, national security, and data privacy. She is also a legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. Ms. McQuade spent most of her career as a federal prosecutor in Detroit. From 2010 to 2017, she served as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, the first woman appointed to that position. She is the author of the new book, “Attack from Within: How Disinformation is Sabotaging America.”
